Yoga Teacher Training (200 hr) & Continuing Education (YACE)

LifeTime Roots Yoga Academy is a 200 hour yoga teacher training certified through Yoga Alliance. In our program you will gain a better understanding of yourself, and yoga.  You will make lifelong friends and take a journey into self-discovery.  Through the guidance of your instructors and the caring and kindness of your new-found friends you will leave this training with a whole new outlook on life. Be prepared to transform yourself into the greatest you you’ll ever know and ready to share this new found love of yoga with your students and your personal practice!

Roots Yoga Academy Curriculum

  • Asana alignment principles in Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga.

  • Segments on Kundalini, Bikram, Anna Forest, Anusara, Ashtanga & Phoenix Rising.

  • Philosophy of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga.

  • History of Yoga.

  • Bandhas, Chakras and Koshas.

  • Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

  • The Eight Limbs of Yoga.

  • Yamas and Niyamas.

  • Learn the difference between Path vs. Limb

  • Develop a deeper understanding of Pranayama techniques.

  • Study how our body works daily forming habits both healthy and unhealthy.

  • Define Yoga and Ayurveda, and explore the relationship between the two.

  • The business of Yoga: Learn how to market your skills and where to teach.

  • Yoga Alliance: Continued education

  • Teaching ethics, how to hold professional relationships with students.

  • The Bhagavad Gita.

  • Body cleansing Kriyas and Meridians.

  • Explore various styles of meditation throughout the training, feel confident in your own self exploration and ready to teach these techniques to others.

  • Assist students hands on, and with much practice find comfort and ease in the art of adjustment.

  • Practice becoming comfortable in the presence of your students and learn tools to create a safe, comfortable space while taking use of the full room.

  • Study & practice the technique behind one-on-ones

  • Design your own sequences and be able to comfortably plan and run your own classes.

  • Study the human body through anatomy and learn what specific muscles are incorporated into various postures.

200 hr Tuition:

Includes all course material.
Includes unlimited yoga classes at LifeTime during your school.

At Completion:

You will be certified through the Yoga Alliance which is recognized internationally for a 200 hour teacher training.

Things to Keep in MInd Throughout Training

We, as a school, are very focused on what you want to learn and become.  True change can only come from the heart and that is where we focus.  Our instructors teach from the heart, encouraging you to digest it and make it true for yourself.  Allowing you to practice and teach from the heart as well

  • Honor yourself and your body, while embracing this time to grow mentally, spiritually and physically.

  • Be patient with things you don’t understand.

  • This training is for YOUR growth.  So ask questions.  

  • Work to develop your own opinions on what you learn.  

  • Dive deeper into subjects that interest you.

  • Form a study group and practice with friends and family.
